There are a variety of types of church insurance we provide our clients to protect their finances, personnel, and property in the event of unforeseen circumstances and emergencies. Churches have become increasingly susceptible to lawsuits, and protecting both the workers and church itself is crucial for any denomination.
Whether you need insurance to protect your property, employees, or vehicles, our team can deliver the coverage you need to protect your church, synagogue, mosque, or other places of worship. Learn more about our church insurance coverage plans below.
Insurance for churches covers a variety of essential coverage for any religious organizations and places of worship. Churches face many risks, including fires, theft, sexual misconduct, slips and falls, and natural disasters.
Without general liability protection, property liability coverage, and other insurance protection, one unforeseen event can burden your organization with medical expenses, lawsuits, and other expensive consequences. Browse our church packages below to see how we can protect your organization.
Religious organizations depend on their vehicles to haul equipment, transport members, and host events. Whether your organization has buses, vans, or regular sedans, we provide comprehensive commercial auto insurance for churches across Georgia. Contact us for an accurate quote and protect the vehicles that help keep your place of worship thriving.
Workers’ compensation insurance is required for churches in Georgia. It provides compensation and medical care for employees injured on the job and alleviates liability on the religious institution. Avoid hefty fines, possible catastrophes, and receive workers’ compensation insurance coverage for your organization.
Umbrella coverage is a low-cost way to add extra liability coverage that oversees claims that may be larger than what your general insurance covers. Protect your workers, institution, and avoid a devasting financial hit from lawsuits, medical expenses, and property liability with excess liability coverage.
You don’t have to wait until your insurance renews in order to make a change. In fact, you can switch your insurance anytime you have a payment coming due.
Most insurance agencies are generalists. You can walk into your local supercenter to buy shoes, but they won't measure your feet as the shoe store will. Many insurance agencies could sell your ministry a commercial insurance policy, but at Gibbs & Associates, we've built our business around meeting the unique needs of churches and non-profit ministries.
As church insurance specialists, we monitor our competitors and continue to see church insurance rates increasing at an alarming rate. We understand the importance of good stewardship of your ministry's resources. We welcome the opportunity to offer you a free, no-obligation proposal. Trust the Experts. "I have always said, 'Your insurance is no better than your local agent.' As such, I highly recommend Skip Gibbs with Gibbs & Associates. Not only is he personable, prompt and professional, I know he is working to make sure we are properly covered at as reasonable a rate as possible. Likewise, when we had a claim, he was there with us as well, working on our behalf."

Frequently Asked Questions
Our initial meeting can take as little as 20 minutes. We’ll ask you a list of questions, take a look around your building, if possible, and hopefully have time to chat (because we love hearing about ministry!). Then we will bring your information back to our office and take care of the rest.
Insurance policies can be long and complicated. We have come across many, many scenarios where churches thought they had coverage that was in fact excluded from or not included in their policy! The best way for us to help you determine if you currently have adequate coverage at a fair price is to see your actual declaration pages. You will find that we are low-pressure when it comes to sales. Our heart is to help serve and protect your ministry. We would love to present a proposal that offers quality coverage at a better price.
We prefer to meet in person (or via online video conference) whenever possible. Our goal is to build a long-lasting relationship with your ministry. You’ll be calling us with questions and for assistance with claims, so it’s helpful for both of us to be able to put a face with a name. In addition, we have a list of questions prepared that will result in a thorough review of your insurance needs. Many of these items are simpler to discuss in person, with a tour of your facilities. However, if you are not comfortable meeting in person, it's not a problem! We can meet over the phone or via online video conferencing.
Once we submit all your information to our carriers, it can take anywhere from one day to 2 weeks for us to receive quotes back. When we get your quotes, we will schedule an appointment or a video conference to present and explain the quote to you. That way we can answer any questions you may have and make sure you know what you are buying. Once you are ready to move forward, we will help guide you through the easy process of transitioning to your new carrier.
We can help! As an independent insurance agency, we have access to carriers that will offer insurance to brand new ministries as well as ministries that have had a lapse in coverage.
Every insurance company wants to know your claims history. If you have losses, just let us know so that our carriers will include that information in their quoting process. And while being dropped from your prior carrier may be stressful, you can count on us to help. The frequency or severity of your losses will affect eligibility and pricing, but as an independent insurance agency we have partnered with carriers that specialize in assisting ministries that find themselves in such unfortunate circumstances. And, in a matter of a few years when your loss history improves, we have the ability to transition you to a more competitive carrier once again. We have helped many churches who have found themselves being cancelled, and we gladly assist them during a very difficult time.
At Church Insurance Man, we make the process of dealing with claims easier for you. When you have a claim, you call us. We'll help you connect to your claims adjuster who can get your claim processed as soon as possible, letting you get back to doing ministry.
You don’t have to wait until your insurance renews in order to make a change. In fact, you can switch your insurance anytime you have a payment coming due. The quoting, review, and decision process can take some time for a ministry, so contact us to get the process started early.
